tip of the hat

I miss polite society.
I wish men still wore hats.
And not baseball caps turned backwards or sideways.
I wish men wore hats that they would tip at you and say
"Good Morning, Ma'am."

Ma'am.
Hats tipping.
Gentlemen.

Oh goodness.
Tell me where they have gone.

Okay, this cracked me up, but only because I once gave a friend a card that showed a whole line of men smiling and tipping their hats. The inside read something like "When Sarah came out the door, she knew the breast job had been worth every penny." Had to laugh!

Great poem! Indeed where have they gone. My grandpa used a hat and sometimes he forgot and set at the table using it and my grandma did not like it. She asked him if it was raining indoors or if the sun was too hot at the table. :)
